# Earning Yield

> How to track your position and see your earned yield

## How yield accrues

Earn Vault yield comes from interest paid by borrowers across the reserves the vault is allocated to. As interest flows into the vault, the value of each vault share increases. This means yield is auto-compounded: you do not need to claim or reinvest it.

Your share count stays the same after deposit. What changes is the redemption value of each share.

## Tracking your position

You can monitor your position in the **My Position** panel on the vault page. Key metrics include:

* **Supplied amount**: the current value of your deposit
* **Interest earned**: how much yield has accrued since you deposited
* **Supply APY**: the current annualized yield rate

## Yield is variable

Vault yield depends on the weighted yield from the underlying reserve allocations. Because borrow demand and reserve utilization change over time, vault APY can also change. Quoted APYs are trailing figures and are not guaranteed future returns.
